Amour – The Patio Restaurant Cafe & Bar
Centrally located in one of the most happening hangouts in Delhi, finding Amour couldn’t have been easier with all the sign boards that start popping up with the first turn for Hauz Khas Village, till you reach the restaurant.
Once there, you’ll have to brave a short and spooky lift ride to reach the place, wherein you would find it to be an excellent getaway for a completely laid back brunch on a nice Sunday afternoon.
There are two floors, upper one being a proper restaurant with covers and also supports an open air outside seating area, and the lower having more of a lounge feel to it. It is highly recommended that prior reservations be made if visiting on weekends.
One look at the menu card and you start getting the Mediterranean feel that this place boasts about, equally complemented by the food that speaks volumes of flavor and justifies each and every component as stated in the menu.
We started with the Tuscany, which essentially is a wood fired oven pizza with mushroom and tomatoes. Completely delectable, aptly thin crust and melt in the mouth cheese.
Mains included a grilled chicken with seasonal veggies. Now the good thing about the grilled meats they serve here is that you can choose your marination. Being a fan of parsley, we went with the chimichuri. With everything cooked to perfection, mains were super tasty, although one would definitely feel the portions are small.
For that inevitable that sweet tooth craving, we ordered ‘The Great Tiramisu’. Though it took a little while for greatness to arrive at our table, it lived up to its name in every sense of the word. One slice through it and the cutlery touched the bottom of the plate as smoothly as it possibly could. Trust me, after eating this one hell of a dessert, you would not want to have anything to ruin that awesome taste it leaves on your palate.
Overall, you’re surely missing something if you haven’t eaten at Amour.
