Spectra – The Leela Kempinski
It happens very rare that when you enter a restaurant, the first entity that greets you in all humbleness is an extensive collection of rare and exquisite wine bottles, placed strategically along the wall that forms the main entry pathway to this place. And, as you continue to walk forward, the view opens up into a plethora of 7 separate cuisine kitchens, and hence the name Spectra.
Ideal time to visit this place is weekends, when they host their signature brunch, with an optional wine package as well.
Cutting the long story short and coming straight to food, for all the sea food fans out there, leaving without trying the smoked salmon, vinegar tuna and that absolutely delectable sushi would mean committing a sin, as every bite is sublime and heavenly in taste. Scallops are good but the occasional one tends to get a bit chewy.
Lamb pie is completely of this world, and they have signature ribs with an in-house dip. Skin-on grilled chicken is exceptionally good. North Indian kitchen boasts true earthy and rustic Indian flavors, with Dal Makhni and Malai Kofta hitting all the required checkmarks.
Desserts are exquisite; with melt in mouth macaroons and crème brûlée being a chef special of this sweet section.
Worth a shot, without a doubt!
