ExploreX Sojourn to Binsar
Another day and we are getting ready for another trip. Bags are packed, Cars are ready and so does the Car Mate. The excitement is building up for yet another trip and this time we are heading to the “Land of Gods”, Uttarakhand. The destination was Binsar, a nice little hill station about 2 hours from Nainital
But hey,, we are not on a pilgrimedge tour, we are heading to party and party hard. Everyone on board and here we go. As soon we hit Ghaziabad we were stuck in a grandest of Jam i have seen since long and it was not for a few kms but all the way till Garh Ganga baring a few patches. By the time we are out of Jam, it was 5 in the morning and the place we planned for dinner, we reached at breakfast time. Thankfully we had our dinner before at hapur (not so good), but it gave some fuel to continue our journey.
All this time Ghosh was right at the tail in his Camry and Rajiv was ahead of us. God knows where was Siddharth in his Vento. If siddharth can do, he would carry his vento on his shoulder instead of him sitting inside it (just to save a few scratches and car getting dirty). After Bazpur, we stopped at a restaurant called Crown Palace and had our breakfast which was really nice compared to what we had in dinner. With stomach full our journey continued. Soon after Haldwani, mountain roads started and journey was swinging from left to right and from highs to lows. We reached at our resort at around 2 PM.
By the time we reached our resort hunger and tiredness was all setin in each drop of our blood and each corner of our body. We quickly jumped in the dining hall and eat whatever we could. From here till the next two days and night, it was all party, drinks fun, tambola, poker and what not. The party continued in the night as well.
Before i speak anything about the return journey, i would like to recommend Kasaar Jungle Resort. The staff were very courteous and friendly. The Food was good and so the overall experience in the resort.
The return journey was as exciting as the onward journey with Ghosh making the trip memorable by driving his camry on emergency brakes which eventually leading to heat up and brakes not working. After some panic moments and a few calls we realized this and let the car cool off. After this the drive was fast but not furious. One good thing to happen was that there were no jams in our drive back home which came as a great respite as people were eager to get back as quickly.
