An unforgettable road trip to Ladakh – Part 4
Next we had to cross one fast flowing water stream. Everyone had to be out of the car to make it light. Only the person driving had to take care that the car was well accelerated in time to climb up the other end. Having good drivers on the steering helps! 😉 The cars were through but few of us slipped in the cold water. Sid broke his sunglasses, got his jeans wet; awaiting the cool breeze to tickle his legs. On journey ahead Innova was a moving dryer for our shoes, socks & jeans. Rest the wind took care of. 😀
Around 6:00pm we were comfortably settled in our tents. Camp Shambhala is located perfectly in front of the Pangong Tso. The staff is helpful and provided us with almost everything we needed for camping and creating the bonfire. We spent few hours at the lake, breathing in the cool breeze, while the guys were practicing some stunts. Photo snippet below :-D. To mention, the lake look beautiful in the moonlight. Back at the camp we sat by the bonfire, chatting and drinking followed by dinner at 10:00pm. Then off to bed by 11:00pm. Lying in bed that night I was happy and sad at the same time. This wonderful road trip was coming to an end. Tomorrow after visiting the “3 idiots” photo spot at Pangong Tso we would be heading back to Leh. A day after, one last tent camping at Sarchu should be fun. Last one before we head to Manali..
